The OSS soil type is provided to inform County staff and members of the public of OSS design requirements for each soil type (see Determining Environmental Health Minimum Land Area Requirements document from Thurston County Environmental Health).The OSS soil types are described in WAC 246-272A-0220 and the OSS design requirements are outlined in WAC 246-272A-0230. Thurston County soils were categorized by the OSS soil types by Thurston County Environmental Health staff.For complete information about the Soils USDA data, please refer to that specific data layer.
